Smoking Kills

Smoking Kills (by Vedant Shrimali)

He had always been the ideal man. Clever, noble, anything you'd want in you. He had accomplished every task as a son,a friend and a husband.
So very great that no one would care if he committed a murder. Never a wrongdoing by him. Never. And whats more, now his beautiful wife had had a baby. Feeling so accomplished, satisfied and happy with life, he went to greet friends and relatives about his newborn baby. In the happiness, one of his friends offered him a cigarette as a symbol of celebration-

'Come on , you have been noble enough, one cigar's never gonna kill you.'

And so he thought that one cigar wont kill him, and smoked.

It was a good experience but nothing thrilling. Meantime his wife came out with the child near him, and as he and his friend were smoking, gave a look and went away. After that he never smoked. That night the baby fell terribly ill. It was admitted. After some days in the intense care unit, it died. The doctors told it died of tumour due to high intake of nicotine. He never came to know from whose cigarette the smokes the baby had inhaled, his friend's or his own.
